The Methodology

The Prof. Filer assessment uses a refined interpretation of the Myers-Briggs (MBTI) type framework. It is designed to explore how people gain energy, process information, make decisions, and approach the world.

It keeps the clarity and accessibility of the familiar four-letter format while re-imagining it through AI to deliver faster, more intuitive and personalized insights. Once this is plotted, it gives strong insights into how decisions are made, relationships are formed (and maintained) and how one operates in the workplace.

The original MBTI framework, that inspired Prof. Filer, maps personality across four key axes — Energy (Extraversion–Introversion (E or I)), Information (Sensing–Intuition (S or N)), Decision-Making (Thinking–Feeling (T or F)), and Approach (Judging–Perceiving (J or P)) — revealing how individuals naturally interact with the world. This sorts personalities into 16 different character types.
